63-year-old man with no travel history nor contact with carrier dies of coronavirus in Lagos

The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi today announced the COVID-19 related death of a 63-year-old man with no travel history or contact with any confirmed case.

Abayomi in his statement also stated that the total number of death from COVID-19 in the state is now 7 while the total number of confirmed cases in the megacity is 217.

Lagos State is the epicentre of the coronavirus disease in Nigeria.

Announcing the death of the 63-year-old, Abayomi enjoined Lagos citizens to abide by the stay-at-home directive given by the federal government.
