Nigerian billionaire, Tony Elumelu held a party for his mother’s 90th birthday over the weekend, and it was attended by many dignitaries.

 

Tony Elumelu’s mother’s 90th birthday party, started off with a thanksgiving Mass at the Church of Assumption, Lagos, and a reception in VI after. The event by many Nigerian big weights which include; Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Otunba Adekunle Ojora & Erelu Ojuolape Ojora,  Oba Rilwan Akiolu,  Chukwumalieze 1 of Onicha-Ugbo , Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, Tayo Ayeni,  Segun Awolowo, Mr. Jim Ovia.

Few days ago, Tony Elumelu who celebrated his mother on his Instagram page, revealed he and his family are counting down as his mother will be turning 90-years-old very soon. Sharing make-over photos of his mom, he wrote;

“Count down to 90th!….dropped in to see how birthday girl is preparing for her 90th birthday celebration

 

 

Tony Elumelu’s mother Suzanne Elumelu, gave birth to the billionaire who is an economist, entrepreneur, and the Chairman of the United Bank for Africa (UBA). He was born on the 22nd of March 1963 in Jos.

He also has other qualifications that are not academic of which includes; the Nigeria a national honors, the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) and Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR). In 2012 he was recognized as one of Africa’s 20 Most Powerful People by Forbes magazine. He was also ranked 31 on the list of Africa’s 50 richest men in 2015.

He hails from Onicha-Ukwu in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria. He is a graduate of both Ambrose Alli University and the University of Lagos. From Ambrose Alli University he got a bachelor’s degree and from the University of Lagos he got master of science degree. He also went to Harvard Business School for the Advanced Management Programme.
