Layi shared a personal experience of physical discipline he faced from his uncles, particularly one who traveled a significant distance to punish him.
According to Layi, his poor performance in subjects like physics and mathematics led his parents to consider transferring him to the Art department.
However, his uncle, who had traveled two hours from Ibadan to Osogbo, was dissatisfied with Layi’s results and decided to take matters into his own hands.
Layi assisted his uncle with carrying his luggage from the car, unaware of what was to come.
His uncle then revealed Layi’s results and instructed him to lie down, preparing him for a flogging.
