BBNaija Season 10 winner, Imisi, has revealed that actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele is her mentor
The 23-year-old made this known after receiving her N150 million cash prize and a new SUV at a Lagos ceremony on Tuesday. Imisi said her time in the Big Brother house reignited her love for acting.
“People saw a lot of my acting side in the house. Even my fellow housemates said I’m a natural actress. I’m ready to do more,” she said. “Funke Akindele is my number one mentor. I also admire Bimbo Ademoye and Bolaji Ogunmola; they inspire me a lot.”
Describing her win as “overwhelming,” Imisi said she is still processing the nationwide support. On suggestions that ethnic loyalty played a role in her victory, she added, “Maybe. Yoruba people are very supportive of their own, so that might’ve played a role. But honestly, I believe people connected with my realness and vulnerability.”
She also thanked her Celestial Church community for their prayers and revealed plans to use her fame to build a lasting career in entertainment. “Fame is new to me, but I’m ready to learn and grow. I’ll seek mentorship and be intentional about my next steps,” she concluded.
