MC Lively slams Daddy Freeze over Peter Obi

Comedian MC Lively has criticised media personality Daddy Freeze for saying he does not support Peter Obi because of the behaviour of some of his supporters

MC Lively questioned why the actions of some supporters should determine whether someone supports a political candidate, especially when there are bigger issues affecting Nigerians.

In a post he shared, Mc Lively said:

“With all due respect, sir, anytime I hear a person say, ‘I don’t support Peter Obi because of his supporters,’ I just know that you are a dishonest person. We have a ruling party that is actively stifling the opposition. A ruling party who actively tries to take your life. You don’t dislike them, but you dislike a part of Nigerians who are expressing how they feel because of the pain, the years of neglect, the fuel, 1,500 Naira, insecurity.

“People are expressing their pain at the dishonesty of many of our elders and you go, ‘Oh…’ It has become a regular thing to say, ‘I don’t support Peter Obi because of a supporter.’ I think that’s ridiculous.

“You don’t have anything to say about his time in government, you don’t have anything to say about the future of your children. You are not supporting him because his supporters are insulting or because they’ll come for you.

“But that’s not why I’m here. Now let’s go forward.
“When did Peter Obi say that his wife is helping him use one shoe and one watch? Did he say that his wife is impoverished? Did you not already say that he is a billionaire? He made money before government.

“Is this not what Nigerians are supposed to be aspiring to? To be someone who makes money and then goes to government to serve? Is that not what governance is?”.
