“My wife blocked me after she got to Canada with our children” — Man narrates
A Nigerian man has shared his heartbreaking experience after his wife and children travelled to Canada ahead of him following the family’s permanent residency approval.
According to the man, he resigned from his banking job after their permanent residency came through.
However, his wife and children travelled to Canada before him because he had to remain in Nigeria temporarily.
He explained that the bank needed to conduct an audit of his position before he could leave, making it impossible for him to travel with his family immediately.
He said things took a painful turn when his wife arrived in Canada.
“I resigned as a banker when the permanent residency came. My wife and children left before me for Canada. I had to stay back in Nigeria because the bank needed to audit my position, so I couldn’t travel with them immediately.
Unfortunately, when my wife got to Canada, she blocked me and didn’t give me the address where she was staying with my children. I’m heartbroken.”
FULL INTERVIEW: “This whole thing started with infidelity on her part. But I felt that when we left Nigeria for Canada, things would be better. I even paid two years’ rent in advance in Canada, but I didn’t know she was planning to take my children away from me.
I’m still considering writing to the Canadian government to let them know what transpired. I’m still ready to reconcile with my wife if she’s willing to do the same.
I hope my children get to see this video and know that I suffered to send them to Canada with everything I had. I even resigned from my banking job. Now, I’m homeless, suffering, and alone.”
