Rapper Ace Nh writes judge to sentence him to d£ath for k!lling his 5-months-pregnant girlfriend. Instructs his lawyer to respect his wishes and not take any action

Billy Bennett Adams III, a Florida rapper known as Ace Nh, has asked to be sentenced to de@th for the 2023 m¥rder of his pregnant girlfriend, Alana Sims, 22, saying he wants his lawyers to respect his decision.

In a handwritten letter filed on October 12, 2026, and addressed to Hillsborough County Court Judge Mark R. Wolfe, Adams, 25, wrote: “I don’t have an issue with the death penalty and I have asked my lawyers to respect my wishes when we go to court.”

He added: “When we go to court on December 1st I want to be sentenced to what the jury already recommended during the penalty phase of the trial.”

Sims, who was five months pregnant with Adams’ child, was shot in the head on January 30, 2023. Court documents state that her two-year-old child was in the backseat of her parked car when she was found.

According to court records, Adams did not want to remain in Sims’ life and was not ready to have a child. He was also reportedly dating another woman, Lakenya Brantley, and allegedly told her about his plan before the shooting.

“Tomorrow dis sh+t done,” he reportedly texted Brantley the day before Sims was killed, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Prosecutors sought the death penalty in March 2023. Adams’ lawyers challenged the application of a Florida law that reduced the number of jurors required to recommend the punishment from 12 to eight.

His defence argued that applying the change to his case could violate constitutional protections against retroactive punishment, warning that “there is a substantial risk that Adams is more likely to be put to de@th now than when the law required prosecutors to convince all twelve jurors.”

The state rejected the argument, and the jury eventually voted 8-4 in favour of the de@th penalty, meeting the required threshold.

Adams is scheduled for sentencing on December 1, 2026, while his case is due for review on October 27.
