The Nnewi New Yam festival which was celebrated in Umuogboo village of the Anambracommunity, ended in tragedy as a resident of the area was brutally stabbed to death.
The deceased was stabbed on the neck region by an unidentified assailant, while trying to stop two Nnewi New Yam Festival attendees from fighting at Orie Agbo, Umuogboo, Nnewichi. Facebook user, Chidon Isimmiri who shared the report, wrote;
