15 staff of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria were on Thursday August 26 sacked by the management of the institution overΒ offences which centered on sexual harassment, negligence of duty and corruption.
The sacked ABU staff are reportedly fromΒ different departments and faculties in the institution and they were handed their dismissal lettter after its approval by the universityβs Governing Council during two separate meetings.
Director of ABUβs Public Affairs, Dr Samaβila Shehu who confirmed the incident said not all the affected staff are lecturers.
Β βNot all of them are lecturers but they are ABU staff members. A total of 15Β workers were affected. The offences range from mishandling of records, scripts to sexual harassment and assault” he said.
