Recall Nigeria was defeated 2-1 by the host country on Sunday, putting an end to the team’s hopes of clinching a fourth continental crown.
Shortly after the match, Alex Iwobi faced harsh criticism from fans and football enthusiasts who believed he did not perform to his best ability, thereby impeding Nigeria’s chances of winning.
Iwobi, therefore, deleted photos from his Instagram handle for fear of cyber abuse.
