AFCON: Yul Edochie under fire over failed prophecy
Nigerians have dragged Nollywood actor turned clergyman, Yul Edochie, for his second inaccurate prophecy regarding the final outcome of AFCON 2023.
Just hours before the match, Yul confidently predicted that the game would not go into a penalty shootout and will end in a comfortable victory for Nigeria over Ivory Coast.
In his own words, “Today’s game will not reach a penalty shootout. Nigeria will defeat Ivory Coast comfortably.”
However, much to the disappointment of many, Yul’s prediction did not materialize as Ivory Coast emerged victorious with a score of 2-1.
Yul subsequently took to his Instagram page to commend the efforts of the Super Eagles, emphasizing that reaching the finals was a commendable achievement akin to victory itself.
