Team Nigeria has left no one in doubt of its intention to fly the green-white-green flag high in Asaba, as Temilola Ogunrinde set a new record in hammer throwing with a 67.39 metres finish.
Ogunrinde just finished behind Morocco’s Zakour Soukaina who picked up the gold medal with a throw of 68.28 metres.
Congo’s Jennifer Batu Bawsikita finished third by throwing 66.43 metres.
