Bandits have attacked Gaye and Shangel communities in the Danko Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, killed two people, and kidnapped 10 others on Saturday.
“The bandits came in large numbers to attack Gaye and Shangel communities on Saturday. and carried out their deadly mission of killing two persons,” a source told Daily Post.
According to the source, five out of the people they took with them were family members of a house member representing Wasagu in the state House of Assembly.
He explained that the bandits took the people of the area unaware, saying they never expected they would come as they would have repelled the attack.
He added that it is not the first time they are attacking communities in the area, pointing out that the people in the affected communities always stay guard against their attacks.
He further explained that the people of the communities are running away for safety to communities they consider safer.
