The deal was made possible after activating Olise’s release clause, reportedly worth around £60 million.

Olise, a French U-21 international, made 90 appearances across three seasons with Palace, scoring 10 goals in 19 Premier League games last season.

He joins Bayern to work under new manager Vincent Kompany, turning down interest from Chelsea and Newcastle United.

Olise expressed his excitement about joining the German giants, stating, “I’m thrilled to play for a big club like Bayern Munich. I’m eager to prove myself at this level and contribute to the team’s success in winning titles.”

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish praised Olise’s growth at the club and respected his desire to challenge himself at the highest level.

Additionally, Bayern is close to signing Fulham’s Joao Palhinha for £42 million plus add-ons, a deal that previously collapsed last summer.

England defender Eric Dier has also joined Bayern permanently after a successful loan spell from Tottenham Hotspur since January.

These signings aim to bolster Bayern’s squad after their 11-year dominance in the German title was ended by Bayer Leverkusen last season.
