According to Ghanaian FM Nhyira, the 16-year-old who committed suicide had ‘grade 47’ in the just concluded Basic Education Certificate examination (BECE). He hanged himself after he couldn’t get a placement to any Senior High School (SHS).
The unfortunate incident occurred at Brenuakyim, a town at Tarkwa in the Western region, and it was gathered that the boy who killed himself over his exam finished from Jesus Mbofra Damfo Preparatory School in Tarkwa. Before killing himself, Daniel left a suicide note for his parents urging them not to think about him anymore.
“I can’t stay on his earth anymore because I did not get school,” the suicide note said.
