American comedian and radio host Corey Holcomb has sparked controversy on X (formerly Twitter) after revealing why he prefers to date poor women.
In a now-viral video interview, Holcomb explained that he likes dating women in poverty because it allows him to control them more easily, and they are less likely to leave.
“I can control them better,” Holcomb stated. “A girl who can’t afford to say, ‘f**k you Corey, I’m gone’. She just can’t afford to do it. So I take advantage of that.”
He went on to admit, “Now, that might be wrong, but her poverty and my needs, most of the time, it evens out. I don’t really need a lot of their time.”
His remarks have sparked a discussion online, with many advising women to become financially independent to avoid being stuck in unfavorable relationships.
