As the convener of #RevolutionNow, Sowore still remains in the custody of the DSS, protesters led by comrade Deji Adeyanju took to the National Human Rights Commission office in Abuja to demand justice and quick release of Sowore. It was reported that anti protesters attacked Deji Adeyanju and his fellow.
Photos of the scene flooded the social media space reportedly showing an injured Deji Adeyanju in a hospital and according to reports, police officers were witnesses while he was being brutalized and they did nothing.
A Twitter user who shared photos from the hospital wrote:
“Deji Adeyanju has been hospitalized, injured by participants in a counter protest in front of the National Human Rights Commission, in the presence of police men This administration WILL end one day, but only when the numbers have aligned Numbers!”
