Family of 9 year-old boy killed by lightning donate his organs to kids in need

The grieving family of a nine-year-old boy killed by a lightning strike in Blackpool has donated his organs to children in desperate need.

The devastated father of Jordan Banks revealed his selfless boy’s legacy would continue as he told well-wishers “words cannot explain how heartbroken I am.”

Jordan died when a storm hit while he was playing football in a coaching session at a sports ground early Tuesday evening as his horrified stepfather watched from his car.

His dad has laid bare his pain as he encouraged parents to spend every waking minute enjoying their time with their “precious” children.

After the youngster’s tragic death it was revealed Liverpool star James Milner had just months earlier praised the little boy for raising more than £2,500 by running for a local mental health organisation.
