The Federal Government has responded to Dremo’s call for the expansion joint in the third mainland bridge to be fixed with immediate effect.
Some days ago, DMW rapper, Dremo shared a video showing how the joint had weakened from use and how it was a potential hazard to road users.
He wrote on his Instagram page;
“The 3rd mainland bridge is getting weak , this is something we need to fix!! #SaveLives cc @jidesanwoolu@akinwunmiambode @profosinbajo@muhammadubuhari”
The Federal Government has now made moves to fix the bridge as a civil engineer with the government, Engineer Abubakar Muhammed, shared a photo of work ongoing on it.
Sharing images of the joint being fixed, Engineer Abubakar Muhammed, wrote;
“Firstly we appreciate @dremodrizzy ,for sharing the picture of the expansion joint at the 3rd Mainland bridge. This is a picture to show how important the life of citizens are to the Engineers.“
