The attention of the authorities has been called to an uncompleted gutter which has been abandoned in Sapele area of Delta state, following an incident which happened yesterday.
It was gathered that a girl simply identified as Progress who was returning from lesson – fell into the uncompleted gutter and was injured very close to her private part after landing on one of the iron rods.
The girl was rushed to the hospital where she is recovering from the injury.
The residents are calling on the appropriate authorites to look into the issue since the gutter has been left open/abandoned for months now and also to prevent this kind of incident.
