The Nigeria Police, Katsina State Command has succeeded in the arrest of one member of notorious armed robbery and kidnapping syndicate terrorizing Faskari LGA of Katsina state.
This is contained in a statement signed by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Gambo Isa on behalf of the State’s Commissioner of Police, CP Buba.
According to the statement, “On 20/03/2019 at about 16:00hrs, the Command succeeded in arresting one Ibrahim Lawal ‘m’, aged 30yrs of Faskari a member of notorious armed robbery and kidnapping syndicate terrorizing Faskari LGA of Katsina state.
Nemesis caught up with the suspect when him and other members of the syndicate (now at large), armed with Dane guns blocked Zamfarawa feeder road and robbed one Umaru Rabi’u, ‘m’, aged 30yrs of Munhaye village, Faskari LGA of Katsina state, of his money the sum of twenty-six thousand naira (N26,000:00).
Exhibit recovered from the suspect include one Dane gun, two matchets, the sum of N20,000 and 96 pieces of Tramadol psychotropic drugs.
In the course of the investigation, the suspect confessed to being a member of the notorious Yansakai outlawed group.
