‘His time is over’: Apostle Selman shares unpleasant prophecy about a high-ranking politician
Apostle Joshua Selman has said he received a revelation concerning the death of a high-ranking politician in Nigeria.
The cleric reportedly shared the revelation during a service on Sunday, September 27, 2026, while praying for sick people. According to Selman, he unexpectedly saw a prominent figure in the country’s political landscape being mourned, with people gathering for the politician’s burial.
Selman said he initially struggled with whether to make the revelation public, but eventually felt compelled to speak about what he had seen.
He said he was not presenting himself as a prophet of doom and did not wish to make such a declaration, but claimed he had seen the high-ranking politician’s time coming to an end.
“I’m not a prophet of doom and I wish I didn’t have to say this but I’m seeing a high-ranking politician in this nation. His time is up. I’m seeing him going. I’m seeing people gather to bury the person,” he uttered.
The preacher also explained that his decision to speak about the revelation was not intended to celebrate the politician’s death. Rather, he said it was meant to allow the family to receive comfort and prepare themselves.
“The reason why we announce this is not because we rejoice over whatever it is that is happening. It’s so that God will comfort the family, one, and then prepare the heart,” he said.
He added firmly, “But there’s nothing that can be done. It’s time. It’s over.”
Selman further maintained that he does not make prophecies to impress people or attract attention, saying the revelation had remained strongly on his mind.
“I don’t prophesy to impress. I don’t have that time for all those games,” he said, adding that “the Lord has impressed on my spirit, and it will not let me rest.”
The cleric, however, did not disclose the identity of the politician, the specific political position held by the person or when the alleged death would occur. His remarks have since generated reactions online, with Nigerians speculating about the identity of the politician mentioned.
