A hit-and-run driver has k!lled an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) attached to the Ekiti State Police Command.
The officer identified as ASP Idris Lawal was crushed to d3ath at a checkpoint along Iworoko Road in Ado-Ekiti, state capital.
The incident happened on Monday night, a police internal memo read.
The body of the deceased police officer has been deposited in the morgue for autopsy.
Meanwhile effort is on top gear to arrest the culprit.
