Singer Teniola Apata aka Teni has revealed how she helped herself speak in her mother’s tongue — Yoruba
The 31-year-old disclosed she was living in the US with her family back then, and had to learn her language by watching many Yoruba movies on YouTube.
She said that helped shape her into speaking the language.
Revealing this in a recent episode of the Zero Conditions podcast she said;
“Do you know how I learnt to speak Yoruba? It was when I went to America. I learnt it from YouTube. I was watching Yoruba films like mad.”
She also disclosed she started taking alcohol in 2021. And she started taking it just for fun.
She says before then, she had never tasted alcohol nor smoked before.
