Officials from Amnesty International who visited the scene of Sunday’s drone attack on Tudun Biri in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State says the death toll has risen to 120.
Survivors of the bombing also claim that they were bombed twice by the Nigerian Army.
Recall on Sunday night, the air strike targeting terrorists accidentally hit civilians during the Maulud celebration.
The National Emergency Management Agency initially reported 85 deaths and 66 injuries.
Amnesty International’s Country Director, Isah Sanusi, however has a different record. According to him over 120 persons have died in the bombing.
He mentioned at least 77 bodies in each of the mass graves, challenging the initial casualty figure released by NEMA.

The Director of Defence Media Operations, Maj. Gen. Edward Buba, while speaking to newsmen, said the military would investigate the incident.
He said a panel would be instituted to look into the matter, adding that the details would be communicated.
The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) and the Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) condemned the incident, calling for a thorough investigation and punishment for those found culpable.
