Kano State Government has concluded plans to build free houses for victims of recent flood that ravaged some parts of the state.
A statement by Governor Abba Kabir yusuf’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa indicated that the gesture is, “in an effort to mitigate the effects of flooding.
According to him, the state government will build free, affordable houses for flood victims across the 44 Local Government Areas of the state.
Bature said Governor Yusuf made this known during the weekly Executive Council meeting held at the Council Chamber, Government House.
He added that, “Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf noted that the provision of these houses will significantly help flood victims secure suitable shelter for their families.
