Jibrin Abdulmumin, the All Progressives Congress lawmaker representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency of Kano State has been sacked by a Court of Appeal which sat in Kaduna.
His election was nullified following the nullification of elections in two local government areas of Kiru/Bebeji Constituency. Daily Nigerian reported that Justice Adejoje Adepoju who passed judgement after going through the constituency’s final result contained in a Form EC (8)E which was reportedly mutilated, ordered a fresh election in the constituency.
The court of appeal judgement upturned the Kano State election petition tribunal’s dismissal of the petition filed by Mr Jibrin’s contender, Aliyu Datti of the Peoples Democratic Party.
