Kanye West has asked Donald Trump to be his running mate after confirming his plans to launch a 2024 presidential bid.
The 45-year-old rapper divided the internet when he announced his political plans in a video posted to Twitter on Sunday, following his previous unsuccessful attempt in 2020.
Kanye, legally known as Ye, has since been keeping fans updated on his presidential bid and says he visited the former President at his Mar-A-Lago home in Florida.
Taking to Twitter, Ye wrote: “First time at Mar-a-Lago. Rain and traffic can’t believe I kept President Trump waiting.
“And I had on jeans. Yikes.”
He then added: “What you guys think his response was when I asked him to be my running mate in 2024?”
Kanye included a poll with the options ‘That’s very Ye’ and ‘That’s very Nay’. ‘That’s very Ye’ is currently leading with almost 60% of the votes.
