Kuda Business records 100,000 customers


Kuda Business, a segment of Kuda Microfinance Bank, has achieved 100,000 customers milestone on its platform.

A statement from Kuda recently said that the business management and banking platform was providing support to more than 100,000 freelancers and micro, small and medium-scale enterprises in the country.

Kuda Business, an all-in-one business manager for freelancers and SMEs, which sends estimates and invoices, makes bulk transfers, and pays business bills on one platform, was launched in 2022.

The Vice President of Product Innovation Strategy at Kuda, Nosa Oyegun, while commenting on the milestone, said, “Reaching the milestone of 100,000 customers is a testament to the value we bring to small businesses and freelancers.

“Our mission has always been to empower businesses with the financial tools they need to thrive in today’s competitive market. We understand the importance of agility, efficiency, and accessibility, which is why we have developed a platform that simplifies banking processes and puts control back into the hands of entrepreneurs.”

According to the Senior Product Manager at Kuda, Okoronkwo Kanno, in an increasingly digital world, businesses need access to intuitive and efficient banking platforms like Kuda Business.

He noted, “Our platform empowers entrepreneurs to focus on what they do best – running their businesses – without being burdened by outdated banking practices. We are committed to continuously enhancing our offerings and expanding our reach to support even more businesses on their journey to success.”

Since its launch, Kuda Business has rolled out unique features like Sales Mode, Kuda Payroll, and business registration on the Kuda Business mobile app as well as a softPOS feature that helps businesses receive contactless payments on their smartphones wherever they are.

Recent data from the International Labour Organisation revealed that MSMEs contribute 48 per cent of Nigeria’s GDP and employ 84 per cent of Nigeria’s jobholders.
