Barcelona ace Lamine Yamal’s father has been discharged from hospital after being the victim of a brutal stabbing.
Yamal’s father, Mounir Nasraoui, was stabbed multiple times in a car park and was rushed to hospital for treatment earlier this week. There were initially mixed reports about whether or not he had been discharged but he has now left the hospital in Barcelona, per Mundo Deportivo.
Four people have now been arrested, per the report, by Spanish police. Yamal is said to have visited his father in hospital, and will surely be relieved to know his father is safe and well.
Yamal enjoyed a breakout Euro 2024 as Spain won the trophy, beating England in the final. He will now hope to focus fully on Barcelona’s new campaign.
Barcelona play Valencia on Saturday in their opening La Liga game of the season. They are out to topple champions Real Madrid once again.
