Nigerian music star Wizkid has addressed the backlash he received after posting a cryptic message on his verified X and Instagram accounts.
In his post, he wrote “Una papa!” which translates to “Your father!” and shared some photos of himself.
While some fans took the comment in stride, others reacted with anger and disappointment. One user, @ArewaAdebukolaa, fired back at Wizkid, saying, “Your papa too… this midget will just wake up, smoke igbo, and tweet rubbish. Your papa papa x10. Werey ni e nii?”
In response to the criticism, Wizkid took to X on August 16th to express love and subtly address those who criticized him. He wrote, “Don’t get it twisted, love is a beautiful thing!” and added, “Awon werey kan Lon correct daddy won,” which means “Only mad people correct their fathers.”
