Governor Seyi Makinde has visited the Correctional Centre in Abolongo, Oyo Town, which was attacked on Friday.
Over 800 inmates are said to have escaped during the attack.
Armed men friday night had stormed the prison, destroying and shooting leading into a major prison break.
Some inmates have been re-arrested while many are still on the run.
During his visit, he ordered the installation of CCTV and connection of same to the state’s security control room.
