A male victim of physical abuse has narrated how he was abused by his ex-girlfriend and why he stayed.
@I_Am_Ilemona said his ex used to slap him “on a regular” for almost a year. He endured the domestic abuse but eventually walked away when she hit him “repeatedly” at a party.
When asked why he didn’t walk away once the abuse started, he said: “She was really sweet at first. And somehow that started. And I somehow convinced myself that I deserved it. And that if I didnt upset her, she wont hit me.”
