A man has taken to social media to express his frustration after being banned from officiating at a church for not contributing money towards his pastor’s birthday celebration.
The man, identified as @Ayibatonye01 on X shared his experience, explaining that while he was asked to send money for the pastor’s birthday, he chose not to, as the contribution was described as voluntary.
As a result, he was banned from officiating at church on Sunday and hinted that further punishments might follow.
In his post, he wrote: “Because I didn’t send money for papa’s birthday, I am banned from officiating this Sunday & more punishment might be meted out, after you have said it’s a voluntary contribution. You aren’t even minding the financial capacity of some; others have sent, but me, I will not send…”
