Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson has offered his insights on the current state of relationships, highlighting the significant role financial factors play in shaping women’s attitudes towards dating.

During a TVC interview, Timini Egbuson noted that the abundance of options available to men has led to a nonchalant attitude towards relationships.
Egbuson attributed this phenomenon to the increasing trend of women “monetising dating,” where lavish spending is often misconstrued as a genuine display of love.
However, he argued that men with substantial financial resources may use their wealth to attract multiple women, rather than investing in a single, meaningful relationship.
According to Egbuson, some men are aware that extravagant spending can create a false impression of love, which can be misleading for women.
He emphasized that true love cannot be bought, and that men who use their wealth to woo women may not necessarily be invested in building a genuine connection.
He said: “The nonchalant attitude of some men is because there are a lot of women accessible to them. You know, once you have money, you have a lot of options. And that is also because a lot of women have monetised dating.
“Some men know that when they spend lavishly on a lady, she would think they are in love with her. But that is not love because he’s a billionaire, he can afford to do the same thing for hundreds of girls”.
