May Edochie has issued a pre-action notice to comedian Chidi Uzoma, also known as Baba De Baba, over defamatory statements made against her on Facebook.
May Edochie demanded that Baba De Baba cease and desist from spreading false and damaging information about her through her lawyer.
The pre-action notice, dated December 13, highlighted specific allegations made by Baba De Baba, including claims that Edochie prefers women over men in private and that she traveled to Ghana with female friends to engage in sexual activities with men.
Additionally, Baba De Baba allegedly accused Edochie of being HIV positive.
Edochie’s lawyer emphasized that these statements are entirely false and have caused significant harm to her reputation.
The notice serves as a formal warning to Baba De Baba, requiring him to retract his statements and apologize to Edochie. Failure to comply may result in further legal action.
