Bill Gates’ ex-wife Melinda has spoken out to deny that she is engaged – while also confirming that she has split from her former Mormon boyfriend Jon Du Pre – after she sparked fierce speculation about her love life by sporting a huge diamond ring on her wedding finger
Hours after images showed the 59-year-old stepping off a private helicopter with a dazzling diamond on her left hand, she issued a statement via her spokesperson to Page Six confirming that she and Jon, 65, have in fact broken up – while insisting that she is not currently engaged to anyone.
‘Melinda is not engaged and is no longer dating Jon Du Pre,’ the spokesperson told the publication.
Many were shocked when news hit the web that Melinda, 59, and Jon were dating back in 2022 – particularly because the former Fox News anchor appeared to be the complete opposite of her ex-husband, Bill, and also had an extremely controversial past that saw him admitting to abusing his wife while still living with the Mormon religion.
