Michael K. Williams’ final social media post was a clip of fellow New Yorker Tracy Morgan passionately urging friends and fans “Don’t cry for me” while talking about surviving a fatal limousine wreck in 2014.
Williams, 54, posted the clip on Aug. 31 with the note, “I love u brother! @tracymorgan #realOG” — just six days before he was found dead of a suspected heroin overdose in his Williamsburg penthouse Monday afternoon.
The 40-second clip is from Morgan’s 2018 appearance on “The Breakfast Club” podcast, where Morgan emphatically rejects any pity from the accident, which killed his friend and injured four others.
“Don’t cry for me. OK I had a misfortunate accident. Don’t cry for me. Cry for all the others, man,” said the Bronx-born comedian.
