Mohbad: Police explains why there has been no arrests yet
The Delta State police command spokesman, Bright Edafe has explained why there has been no arrests after the sudden death of Nigerian singer, Mohbad, who died under controversial circumstances.
Responding to Nigerians calling for the arrest of some suspects alleged to be responsible for the death of the singer, Edafe warned that the X platform (formerly twitter) is not a police station. In fact he said that three times.
Recall social media users have been demanding the arrest and investigations of Naira Marley, owner of Marlian Music, a label Mohbad was previously signed to, before their private and public fall out.
Old videos of the late singer also crying out that if he ever dies, Marlian Music should be held responsible have also resurfaced online.
Other videos of the deceased singer being harassed on a music set with numerous reports that he was threatened and humiliated by some industry players affiliated with Marlian Music have also surfaced online.
But reacting to the calls, Edafe today noted there must be an offcial report.
He wrote: “Twitter is not police station! Twitter is not police station!! Twitter is not police station!! May his soul rest in peace.”
In another post, he quoted a post saying, “If the family don’t put in a complain, the police can’t do anything.. even though, we know in this case the police is hapless, let the family lay a complain first.”
He than added ”some that have sense has spoken”.
