“My Signature On Document Was Forged” — FCT Minister Wike’s Son, Jordan, Denies Involvement In $2.1m Abuja Land Deal
Jordan Ezenwo Nyesom-Wike, son of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, has denied involvement in an alleged $2.1 million Abuja land deal, telling an FCT High Court that the signature on a disputed document was forged.
Jordan, a lawyer, also denied knowing the claimants, Safwan Garba GY and GY Global Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited, and said he was outside Nigeria when they alleged he received the money.
Testifying in the suit marked CV/008/2026, he said: “I did not receive any money from anybody. I did not sign any document for land deal, I only found out that my signature was on the land document just like anyone else in this court yesterday (Tuesday).
“I never had any friend named Onor Sandy and I did not have any deal with anyone regarding land deal.”
The claimants allege that Jordan agreed to facilitate the acquisition of 30 hectares each in Katampe and Guzape, demanding $2.1 million, and allegedly failed to provide the land or refund the money.
Jordan said he was in London on September 26, 2025, when the claimants alleged the payment was made. He produced a photocopy of his American passport and said the passport number on the disputed document had expired in 2022.
A police investigation report attached to his filings reportedly said the claimant failed to provide sufficient evidence of the alleged payment and recommended prosecution over alleged defamation, false information and attempted extortion. The claimants maintain their allegations.
Justice Silvanus Oriji adjourned the case to December 1, 2 and 14, 2026, for continuation of trial.
