Music mogul Diddy has returned the Key to the City of New York, following a request from Mayor Eric Adams.
The move comes after a viral video surfaced, showing Diddy in a physical altercation with Cassie, which prompted the Mayor’s letter.
Adams expressed his distaste for the incident, stating that he stands with domestic abuse survivors and that the Key to the City is reserved for exemplary citizens.
The selection committee deemed Diddy no longer worthy of this honor, recommending its revocation.
Diddy, who has denied allegations but admitted to wrongdoing in the Cassie incident, faces multiple sexual assault lawsuits and a federal investigation into various serious crimes.
He received the Key to the City just last September, but allegations began piling up mere months later, starting with Cassie’s lawsuit in November.
