Intelligence agencies in Niger, Burkina Faso, and Mali are reportedly preparing to expose top Nigerian politicians allegedly supporting militants terrorising the country
According to German news outlet DW, these foreign agencies have compiled the names of politicians accused of financing militants and supplying them with weapons, and are set to reveal their identities.

The report also noted that some of the implicated politicians have already been arrested and are under investigation for their alleged illegal activities.
Nigeria has faced persistent insecurity for decades, with repeated allegations of politicians backing armed groups.
In May, Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum claimed that some politicians and members of the armed forces act as informants and collaborators for Boko Haram insurgents. “We have informants and collaborators within the Nigerian armed forces, among politicians, and within the communities,” he said.
In August, Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, pledged to expose the identities of terrorism supporters. While calls for revealing the financiers of terrorism have persisted for years, General Musa explained that legal challenges and international connections have slowed the process. “I think the process is on. It has to do with a lot of legal issues, and because again, it has to do with international connections,” he stated.
