COVID-19 cases in Nigeria increased further on Sunday, 9th of August 2020, as 437 new infections were reported.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known in its daily update on coronavirus.
According to the NCDC release, 3 persons died of COVID-19 complications, while 142 patients recovered and have been discharged from various isolation centres in the country.
A state-by-state analysis of the new infections revealed the following: Lagos-107, FCT-91, Plateau-81, Kaduna-32, Ogun-30, Kwara-24, Ebonyi-19 and Ekiti-17.
Others are; Oyo-8, Borno-6, Edo-6, Kano-4, Nasarawa-3, Osun-3, Taraba-3, Gombe-2 and Bauchi-1.
So far, Nigeria has confirmed 46,577 cases of COVID-19; 33,186 recoveries and 945 deaths.
