Nicki Minaj has shared on X how her journey won’t end in Nigeria, following her reaction to the National Football League’s choice of Kendrick Lamar for the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans.
Minaj suggested that Lil Wayne, a New Orleans native and her mentor, would have been a better pick due to his major influence on hip-hop.
Responding to critics, Minaj humorously referenced a Nigerian sentiment, quoting Ayra Starr’s song ‘Comma’ with the phrase, “Sabi girl no Dey too like talk.”
She added, “Nigeria will not end me o,” underscoring her connection to her Nigerian roots in a lighthearted way.
