The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has confirmed the death of a female Nigerian pilgrim in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The Head of the Medical Team of NAHCON, Dr Ibrahim Kana, confirmed the development while speaking with newsmen in Makkah today Wednesday August 8th.
He said the deceased, an indigene of Ungogo local government area of Kano state, is a diabetic patient and was taken to the King Abdulaziz Hospital where she died yesterday.
Kana said the identity of the deceased is yet to be released because her family is yet to be informed.
