Nigerian investigative journalist David Hundeyin detained in Zimbabwe

Nigerian investigative journalist, David Hundeyin has been detained in Zimbabwe.

David says he landed in the country today, only to be told that despite a visa-free relationship between the two countires, he still needs a visa as a Nigerian.

David claims he is crying out for help in a room where he has been locked up for 7 hours.

He says the room he is kept has no window nor toilet and smells.

He also claimed he is locked up with an Ugandan lady, who is being accused of having no visa too.

Tweeting from his cell and crying out for help that he just wants to go home, David tweeted;

”I landed in Zimbabwe earlier today, and I have been detained at Harare Airport inside a smelly locked room for nearly 7 hours.

They said that despite using the travel document of a country with a visa-free relationship, my nationality is still Nigerian, and thus, I need a visa.”
