British-Nigerian woman, Chi Onwurah has been elected as a member of the UK parliament after Parliamentary elections which took place on Thursday , July 4
The Labour politician secured a strong majority of 11,060, with a total of 18,875 votes.
The Reform Party surged into second place with 7,815 votes but still fell way short of Onwurah.
