A businessman in the aviation industry has addressed rumors that Nigerian musicians own private jets.
The clarification came after a video posted by a fan of Burna Boy, a Grammy Award-winning artist, went viral.
The fan captioned the video, “Burna Boy getting off his private jet last night in Abuja. ✈️”
In response, @LaceVine, the co-founder of a private jet charter company, clarified that no Nigerian musician in the music industry actually owns a private jet.
He explained that most artists use charter services for air travel.
“Nobody owns a jet in the Nigerian music industry. It’s all charter, apart from Davido who flies his Dad’s jet,” he said.
He also emphasized that his comments were not meant to disrespect any artists but to set the record straight.
“Please there’s no intent to shade anyone with this tweet. Also renting a Jet is not fake life. It’s not cheap,” he added.
