Nokia re-releases classic 6310 ‘brick’ phone to mark 20th anniversary

Minimalists rejoice; Nokia has rolled out a new version of its classic 6310 phone to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

The old-school phone seen in every other person’s hands in the 90s is back, featuring a few new specs and all of the old favourites – including the iconic game Snake.

Upgrades to the phone include a large curved colour display offering improved readability and accessibility – though without touchscreen capability, users will be tapping away on the keypad.

The familiar specs that made the model such a favourite still feature, including a wireless FM radio and the same tough shell that will keep the phone going through a few bumps and falls.

Like its predecessor, it has a massive battery life of up to 21 days and includes a single rear camera.

First launched in 2001, the 6310 was updated in 2002 as the 6310i and was finally discontinued in 2005.
