The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kwara State Command, has arrested three suspects, including an 81-year-old man identified as Adeleke Oke, and two others for allegedly def!ling a 12-year-old girl in Offa, Kwara State.
The other suspects are Sikiru Lawal (37) and Moshood Ayinde (37).
A statement on Thursday by the NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Ayoola Michael, made available to the press, said that the suspects were arrested on Sunday following a report lodged by the victim’s father.
The suspects confessed to the crime and will be charged to court for prosecution.
The case has been transferred to the Gender Unit of the command for further investigation.
